You don’t need a technology job to have questions about AI, or a say in how it shapes our lives.
Bring your mum, auntie, daughter, niece or friend for a night out that could spark a new interest, a little confidence and a whole lot of possibility.
Perhaps you’re excited about AI. Perhaps you’re quietly wondering whether everyone else understands something you don’t. The woman beside you might feel exactly the same, even if you grew up decades apart.
You are not behind, whatever the headlines say.
Join Nishma Patel-Robb, founder of Switched ON, for an evening of discovery that turns “I wouldn’t know where to start” into “Hang on, I could do that.” With warmth and humour, Nishma will make sense of the jargon and take your concerns seriously, whether that’s the fearmongering in the news or the pace of change. Then she’ll open up the possibilities for your working day, your home life and the things you love.
Together, we’ll talk about what you’d like AI to make easier and learn from each other. You’ll leave with ideas to try and the skills to keep exploring long after the evening ends. Because technology is shaping all our lives, and women of every generation deserve to help shape what comes next.

Nishma on what’s happened since she started working with AI, at home and at work: the useful, the useless, and the bits worth a go on Tuesday morning. Then the headlines that make you feel a bit sick, and the feeling it’s all moving too fast. After that it’s your turn, with as many questions as we can squeeze in. Keep your phone handy for a quick thing or two to try, if you fancy it.
The talking stops at 7:30. The chatting doesn’t. Stay a while and compare notes with someone you didn’t know at six.
I had such a brilliant evening at Nish’s first Switched On learning session. The atmosphere was warm, positive and welcoming… Nish made everyone feel comfortable asking questions and experimenting. I definitely left feeling energised, more confident and excited to keep exploring AI!
